Certification & Testing Approvals

Military Standard Testing

Vision Technologies Systems have completed a full range of MIL-STD and Operational Testing programs. Our systems have proven their ability to handle the severe effects of over 400g’s of acceleration shock during testing, continuing to fully operate without so much as a momentary loss of power, video, or pan and tilt functionality.

All Vision Technologies systems are certified by independent third party government approved testing facilities to meet the following standards. Testing and certification requirements for individual Vision Technologies systems are based on operational requirements as dictated by the customer’s system specifications. All individual system test report results are on file at Vision Technologies.

Operational Testing

Vision systems successfully completed the following Operational Tests and Assessments.

  • MIL-STD Testing and Sea Trials with the Navy/Northrop Grumman Shipboard Protection System (SPS) Program
  • The NAVSEA conducted MIL-STD testing program for the CG-47/DDG-51 Topside Surveillance (CKT-3TV Replacement) Program
  • The General Dynamics Land Systems/United States Marine Corps Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle Operational Assessment (OA) for maritime/amphibious, arctic, jungle and desert environments
  • The MIL-STD testing program for the Navy/Lockheed Martin DDG-1000 program
  • The United States Army MRAP System Test and Evaluation Program at the Aberdeen and Yuma Proving Grounds

We believe the Vision Technologies systems are the most extensively tested systems in the market today.

Quality Assurance: Vision Technologies Quality Assurance Program is based on ISO-9001:2008 and AS-9102 standards. Vision has successfully completed Quality Assurance audits by General Dynamics Land Systems for the Marine Corps Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle, Lockheed Martin for the DDG-1000/1001 Destroyer Above and Below Deck Camera systems and a full Quality Management Systems audit by Raytheon for the DDG-1002 Destroyer Above and Below Deck Camera systems. (We may be able to include audits by DRS Canada and GD Canada)
